When you pick up the van, they ask you for your plans with it, and calculate more or less the miles you will drive, to see if it will be cheaper to choose for instance the 100 miles for free or allready sign up for more, or pay the extra miles afterwards. You can not fault them, no hidden costs as they say theirselves. Thanks again for your efforts and cooperate and we hope we can start our next trip through Canada with you again.Ĥ years in a row we rented an Escape Campervan, and there will be for sure many more. And the staffs can use the time for other things. We used this service at AutoBarn in Cairns / Australia 2014. You can show a small movie with instructions about the car and people can see where is what or for example how can I replace the spare wheel and where can I find the tools.Īnd this is possible in several languages too. In our opinion you do need more cars of the zebra covers.Ī recommendation from us for your easing when people come for pick up the car. Because we had not an advert from Escape on the campervan, people thought it is our own car and we told their no it is a renting car of Escape and the company is new located in Canada in Calgary and Vancouver and the company is coming from USA. More than 40 people on parking lots, petrolstations, supermarkets and campgrounds asked who had painted this car or had you self painted it. But the absolutely highlight of our campervan was the painted cover. We wish you a lot of success in the future and hope you can expand with more establishments in other towns in Canada.ġ0. The propane gas bottle was in all renting stations for only 5 Canadian $ the cheapest that we have purchased.ĩ. We were happy as we had got a prolongation of 3 days for our campervan and have saved money for hotel and passenger car.Ĩ. We met in both renting stations ( Calgary and Vancouver ) always nice and politely staffs.ħ. Besides we received useful information about the campervan in Calgary.Ħ. We got the campervan included equipment in an absolutely clean condition.ĥ. The equipment is perfekt, more than we needed.Ĥ. The campervan was in an absolutely technical perfekt condition.ģ. We had a uncomplicated pick-up and bring return service.Ģ. We're more than satisfied with all you services and can you recommend to all our friends and relatives who want visit Canada in the next time or in the future.ġ. We spent a wonderful time in Western Canada with you. Hi Chris (HUB Vancouver) ,hi Aaron (HUB Calgary), Thanks for the awesome experience Escape CamerVans!! We'll be back :) Overall really badass experience, really cool paint job, 12/10 would rent one of these bad boys again and now we're even thinking about making one of our own.Ĭhris in the office was really great and helpful getting us all set up and situated - allowing us to pick up the van early and drop off a smidge later was a game changer for our timing of our trip that was MUCH appreciated. They have all kinds of extras you can rent, but also lots of "freebies" in the office - things people have left behind that are super helpful like salt, pepper, tin foil, toilet paper, towels, olive oil, cooking utensils etc.ĭriving the van was pretty easy - just make sure to bring your own Aux cord or rent one so that you can use your phone to listen to Harry Potter for three days straight. Having the fridge drawer was awesome, and we even managed to use the stove and sink on our very last night - cooking quite a spectacular meal of sausages and ramen next to our campfire :) The bed converts from a seating/table space that we never actually used. The van comes with sheets and a nice duvet, and the Vancouver office had extra blankets which we happily borrowed since it was quite chilly out. The bed is SUPER comfortable and very large in the Big Sur - my boyfriend and I are 5'8" and 5'10" and had no problems spreading out. They get you with the miles on this deal because you only get 100 miles per day and any overage is $0.25 per mile - still totally worth it!! I've noticed they have some groupons out with much larger mileage options which would probably be the best route to go next time.Įven still we took it to Orcas Island, Seattle area, and all around the Olympic National Park (LOTS OF MILES) and it was so amazing knowing we had everything we needed with us at all time - including a place to sleep!! First thing we did when we got the van was grab some ramen, and then take a much needed 2 hour nap in a parking lot post overnight flight from Kauai. I did not want to give this van back!!!! We rented it for a weekend while we were visiting the PNW using the Fri-Mon discount at $50/day. I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
